Today marks the eleven year anniversary of the horrific attacks against our nation on the morning of September 11th, 2001.  Even now – more than a decade later – the memories and emotions of that fateful day seem as fresh as ever before.

The world as we know it was turned upside down by those unthinkable acts of violent extremism, which took the lives of nearly 3,000 individuals in New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia – leaving a mark on every American.  From the smoldering ruins of the Twin Towers and the Pentagon to the wreckage of United Airlines Flight 93, the painful images and heartbreaking personal stories of that day will not be forgotten.

Dear Friends,

Thanks for all of your loyal support and hard work on my primary election campaign.   Every effort counted in our decisive win.  Victory on August 7 wouldn’t have happened without everyone on the team!

Throughout the election we said this race was about jobs and the economy.  At no time in our history has the need to get things done been greater.  We face many challenges in the days and months ahead, and you can be assured that I will work hard to honor the trust and confidence that you have placed in me.

As we prepare to run a strong campaign this fall, I would like to once again ask for your vote and your help.  And, I am committed to lending my support to candidates whose policies will enhance economic opportunities for everyone, beginning with our presidential nominee, Mitt Romney. His choice of my good friend, Paul Ryan, shows that he wants a strong hand on the tiller to fix our economy-both on the spending and tax-reform side. Together we stand to gain so much and strengthen our district, our state and our country, while divided we merely offer our opponents the opportunity to continue taking America down the path of a weak economy, crushing dept and higher taxes.
